Consistency Common Today By Russel Winick

Consistency Common Today

The technician replied to our texts promptly twice,
And we emphasized how much we felt that was nice.
“It’s the way that I work,” he shrugged with nonchalance,
Then the rest of our texts did not get a response.

Mr. Winick began writing poetry several years ago, after concluding a long career as a business attorney. He composes mostly formal poems, although his two favorite poems – Langston Hughes’ Mother to Son and Robert Hayden’s Those Winter Sundays – are both free verse.

Well over 200 of Mr. Winick’s poems have been published in nearly a score of online and print journals in the USA and abroad.
