the orchids dazzle
beauty stealing air and sun
some unknown painter
Nolo Segundo, pen name of L.J. Carber, 76, in 6 years has had poetry published in over 150 literary magazines/anthologies in 12 countries. A trade publisher has released 3 books, ‘The Enormity of Existence’ [2020], ‘Of Ether And Earth’ [2021] and ‘Soul Songs [2022].. These titles and much of his work reflects the awareness he’s had since having a near-death experience whilst almost drowning at 24 in a Vermont river: that he has, or rather is a consciousness that predates birth and survives death, what poets once called the soul.
