Simple Explanation
We saw a neighbor while out on our walk,
A friendly guy who always loves to talk.
But this time, after mentioning the weather,
He said he had to go get things together.
That quick withdrawal was shocking and bizarre,
Until we saw his wife’s incoming car.

Seven at Bastille Park
(in tribute to Gwendolyn Brooks’ iconic We Real Cool)
We go pro
Know it’s so
All days played
Soon get paid
Don’t need school
Worthless tool
We got game
Will bring fame
Build our brand
Like we planned
If we fail
Deal with jail.
