INHUMANE

Demons are a myth
They say,
But deep down
In a man’s heart they lay.
 
A heart pervaded
By darkness,
The face of cruelty
It will caress.
 
Their eyes are blinded
By hatred,
And their rabid thoughts
Which they presume are sacred.
 
Humanity is consumed
By tenebrosity
And man thrives
In sin city.
 
A crack in the abhorrent facade
Is all it takes,
For humanity to bask
In its former glory days.
