Flickering Light By Kailey Tucker

Flickering Light

Go create your own sound and delicate movement.
Set a lantern on the porch for the birds tonight.
Glowing, a golden bright light, a purposeful sign.
Let me give a false dawn to hear hopeful singing.

Set a lantern on the porch for the birds tonight
because your voice won’t be given up to the dark.
Let me give a false dawn to hear hopeful singing.
Hope is in you, too, singing the tune without words

because your voice won’t be given up to the dark.
Grow faith like buds from the bed of this universe.
Hope is in you, too, singing the tune without words,
and the past will always fade with each of your breaths.

Grow faith like buds from the bed of this universe.
Appreciate abundance in a quiet life,
and the past will always fade with each of your breaths.
Go create your own sound and delicate movement.
