Two Poems By Owolusi Lucky

COME NEAR FAIR LADY

Come nigh fair lady shall I mummify
That beauty in verses come century
Your beauty shall be forever deify
In April. This your beauty buttery my
Pasture like sunflower. it’s afternoon
Of my life, stay long with me till night calls,
When time upon your brow will cast its dune
Your epithet shall be runes upon scrolls
Unveiling to young lovers ethereal
Magic of love deified when doubt allay.
In paintings we shall abide in aery,
In songs we shall be a hymn of solace.
Tarry with me in March, I shall sow seed
That in life’s ember months shall not recede.
Dumping plastics, abort
Giants from watery womb.
Ocean weeps in flood-
