Emotional Enigma By Helga Gruendler-Schierloh

Emotional Enigma

Stars brightening the horizon,
not to touch, merely to see,
diamonds of an ethereal kind
to be admired with reverie.

Songs inviting to a sing-along,
not to perform, only to hear,
a gentle sound opening hearts
to release a lingering fear.

Life tossing about challenges,
not to ward off, but to face,
guideposts marking the path
toward one’s destined place.

Helga Gruendler-Schierloh is a bilingual writer with a degree in journalism and graduate credits in linguistics. Her articles, essays, short fiction, and poetry have appeared in the USA, the UK, Canada, and South Africa.
