What is ours By Mary M. Brown

What is ours

We share the sky. Lean with me
into this crib of night, smooth
the dark coverlet tatted with light

Wait to feel its stirrings of life,
the dreamy doings underneath
or beyond, entwined in the quiet
bed that brings us together—
throb, glow, and flicker to dawn
