Katherine March has written poems for many years but has only recently begun to try to publish her work. She began to love formal poetry while reading Milton, when she realized that he had inserted two trochees, “Justice”and “Mercy,” into his iambic pentameter. His creativity with form enhanced his work’s meaning, and she saw that form can serve as a medium — like paint or musical tones –and not as a constraint.
