A Thanksgiving Prayer By Father Richard Libby

A Thanksgiving Prayer

For falling leaves,
And brilliant eves,
And longer sleeves,
And Autumn's gourd;

For air that's cold,
And colors bold,
Red, orange, gold,
Upon the sward;

For food to eat,
Reunions sweet,
And friends to greet,
Around the board;

For family dear,
Both far and near,
Good health and cheer,
We thank Thee, Lord.

Father Richard Libby is a Catholic priest. His poems have been published by The Society of Classical Poets and Korrektiv Press, and he completed NaNoWriMo in 2019. In addition to writing, he enjoys reading, bird watching, hiking, and bicycling.
